Boasting an AI-powered selfie camera, the Oppo F5 comes with 6-inch display with thinner bezels. The phone comes with two storage variants; 4GB RAM coupled with 32GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM with 64GB of storage and both powered by the MediaTek Helio P23 chipset. The Oppo F5 comes with Android Nougat out of the box with Oppo’s custom UI ColorOS 3.2 on the top.

The camera-centric Oppo F5 boasts 20MP rear camera, which has a LED flash alongside. On the front end, 20MP front camera resides in the narrow top bezel. The selfie-camera is said to come along with Artificial Intelligence. But on our hands-on review with Oppo F5, we experienced that the device failed to portray most of the advertised features and performed nothing out of the ordinary.

Oppo F5 Youth can be considered as the base model of the F5. The phone overall is quite similar to the Oppo F5 in terms of aesthetics but what’s different is the lower RAM, camera’s megapixel count and the price obviously. The device sports the same 6.0-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Powering the Oppo F5 Youth is the same Helio P23 processor clocked at 2.5GHz. It offers 3GB of RAM which wouldn’t cause any drastic change in performance compared to F5 with 4GB or 6GB of RAM. In terms of storage as well, the F5 Youth shares the same number as its higher-end sibling offering 32GB onboard storage with the option for expandability up to 256GB. It runs on Android v7.1 Nougat with ColorOS 3.2. Oppo is all about its camera performance and this phone has comparatively low specifications with 13MP Rear Camera with f/2.2 aperture and 16MP Front Facing Camera with f/2.0 aperture. But it does carry the AI Beautification up front. Oppo F5 Youth is backed by 3200mAh battery.
