Sarita Giri's amendment proposal rejected
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has rejected the amendment proposal registered by Samajwadi Party MP Sarita Giri in the Constitution Amendment Bill.
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota said that Giri's proposal could not be accepted as per Article 112 of the Rules of Procedure. After the announcement of Speaker Sapkota, MP Giri left the Parliament sitting.
Stating that the amendment registered by Giri was against the inherent principle of the bill, Speaker Sapkota decided to reject the amendment.
As soon as the amendment is rejected, there will be no discussion and voting in the House on Giri's amendment. Giri's amendment is not mentioned in the agenda drawn up by the Secretary General of the Parliament Secretariat Bharatraj Gautam.

Giri had registered an amendment in the constitution amendment bill brought by the government to include Limpiyadhura, Guti, Gunji, Navi and other areas in the map of Nepal used in the Nishan stamp.

In the agenda of today's meeting of the House of Representatives, it is mentioned that Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Shiva Maya Tumbahangphe will propose to hold a clause-by-clause discussion on the Constitution of Nepal (Second Amendment) Bill, 2077 BS in the House.
After the discussion on the proposal, she will present the proposal to pass the constitution amendment bill. Then there will be voting.
